CCDF has continued to award a $65,000 grant to both Turkey Grove and Grove Public Schools on an annual basis. The funds are paid directly to the school, and can be used solely for wages, supplies, materials, educational activities, tutoring and extra curricular development activities, focused on educational achievement. These two schools specifically are both in Grove and have the highest number of SCN tribal members in attendance at their schools. The money is available for distribution in August of the school year, for the upcoming needs and expenses of that specific school year. As the end of each year wraps up the school is accountable to report what the funds were spent by distributing receipts and logs of expenses. This report is submitted to the CCDF Program Department at Seneca Cayuga Nation.  There is no formal application process, as it is a commitment from CCDF for the time being, to fund those two schools annually.
