Dusty worked diligently from the time he started as a break-in dealer at Grand Lake Casino and applied his passion for learning as he worked a number of other contributor roles throughout the property.  In 2008, Dusty would land his first supervisor position and learned he had a passion for supporting and building teams of people to accomplish meaningful things. The passion ignited then continues to this day, as he is responsible for leading, supporting and developing all the employees of Grand Lake Casino.  Logan is the first one to communicate that any success he has experienced was not fast, quick or overnight, but it was learning and experimenting for more than 13 years that led him to his now position of Casino General Manager at Grand Lake Casino.

Dusty is originally from Wyandotte, OK, the son of Dave and Kathy Logan.  In 1986, Logan’s father served on the Seneca-Cayuga business committee that initiated the ground-breaking for the building that is now Grand Lake Casino. This piece of history remains close to Dusty’s heart and provides a sense of generational motivation within his career.

As he thinks about where the property is now, Dusty commented, “Grand Lake Casino is at its peak, better now that it has ever been.  Currently, the casino operates more than 600 gaming machines, blackjack tables, two full-service bars, a live entertainment venue and has two new food & beverage venues currently under development.  The casino welcomes hundreds of guests that visit each day to relax, play and connect with their friends and our incredible staff. I feel what we have created at this property over the last few years is something that all members of the Seneca-Cayuga Nation can be proud of.”.

When asked who the most influential person in his life was, Logan shared that his father died when he was 21 years old and his mother shortly thereafter when he was just 23.  As a result, mentorship from leaders who are more experienced than him has been instrumental influence throughout his career: “There have been a number of people throughout my life whom I’ve learned from and who have opened doors for me.” Logan attributes the majority of his success to his level of teachability, “..It’s important as a leader, that I am willing to listen to the criticism as well as accepting any accolades. It’s the criticism that makes me better.”

Teachability is something Dusty has practiced dating back to his high school years, when  his football coach would comment to his teammates about his success being attributed to both his coachability and learning ability.  Logan emphasized: “If you are coachable, listening to direction and instruction from those around you, it will take you far in both your life and career.” Logan believes if one can remain committed to a goal while being teachable, they are in fact, unstoppable. When asked what accomplishment he is most proud of, Logan explained that he is most excited about the trajectory of the property and how the property has grown and developed over the last few years.  “As a tribal member, I am personally invested in trying to further the success of Grand Lake Casino. I want it to be as profitable as it can be, creating greater access to opportunity for my children and their families.  This will allow them to create the best lives for themselves.”
