Sam Quick is making the most of his time at The University of Oklahoma by taking every opportunity to learn, grow, and help other people. Sam will graduate this year with a bachelor's and a master's degree in economics. After graduation, he hopes to work in the energy industry, attend law school, and perhaps run for public office. Watch for Sam on your ballot someday!

Sam

Sam wants everyone to have opportunities to succeed, which is why he is studying economics. However, he is not waiting for graduation to start helping people. As a member of the Student Government Association he helps over 550 student organizations have access to funding. Sam also started an honors student mentoring program. This program creates community and connection among honor students, providing them with access to the knowledge and resources they need to succeed.

One of Sam's priorities at school has been to take advantage of all the opportunities at OU and tailor his experience to fit his needs. He is the first in his family to attend college, and having education funds from the Seneca-Cayuga Nation has provided a foundation of funding that has allowed him to be academically successful while learning the skills he needs for the future.
